Empal gepuk (Sundanese) or sometimes simply known just as empal goreng or gepuk is an Indonesian sweet and spicy fried beef dish. This dish is commonly popular in Java island, but can trace its origin to Sundanese cuisine of West Java, Indonesia.
The seasoning flavours are Garlic, Galangal, Coriander, Cumin with Sugar and Salt and Tamarind
Cooking instructions
Stew 500g of beef , 1.2 lt water and 1/4 jar of this seasoning (65 g) for 1 hour
Cook until the meat is tender and the seasoning is drying out (add more water if needed)
Then pan fry the meat pieces until brownish in colour
