Amsterdam Mini Croquette (30% meat) by Melt On the Goldcoast
For the ragout of this iconic croquette we use small cubes of the finest beef. These cubes are slow-cooked for several hours in a strong broth, brought to flavour with fresh vegetables, herbs and spices.
This handmade croquette is the perfect combination of a creamy ragout, finished with a crunchy coating.
Fun fact: There are two types of croquettes in the Netherlands.
This one originates from the northern part of the country.
Our mini croquettes are served best as finger food, e.g. with mustard on the side. As part of a sharing platter, or just by itself, paired with a nice beer, good glass of wine or a cold soft drink.
Remove the frozen mini croquettes from the package and deep fry at 180 degrees for 5 minutes. Thawed mini croquettes only need to be deep fried for 3 to 4 minutes at 180 degrees. Mini croquettes cannot be refrozen once thawed. Do not deep-fry more than 8 Mini Croquettes at a time as the oil temperature will drop too much.
Be careful: let them cool down for a minute after deep-frying, the filling can be very hot!
