Stroopwafels are syrup (stroop) waffles made with two coaster sized thin waffles sandwiched together with a layer of caramel syrup. Stroopwafels are delicious with coffee or tea. For a real treat place a stroopwafel on top of a cup of coffee or tea and allow the Dutch Waffle cookie to warm a bit – just enough to soften the caramel filling.
