Koopmans Oud-Hollandse stroopwafelcake is een ouderwets lekkere cake met stroopwafelsmaak en stukjes karamel.

Koopmans Stroopwafel Cake Mix is a delicious cake with stroopwafel (Dutch Syrup Waffles) flavour and pieces of caramel.

Ingredients required to make Koopmans Dutch Syrup Wafer Cake (all at room temperature):
1 pack of Koopmans Dutch Syrup Wafer Cake Mix
200 g butter (or margarine)
4 eggs (medium-sized)
4 stroopwafels

Oven temperature: Electric oven: 160 C

Place the oven rack slightly below the center of the oven and heat the oven.
Grease the cake tin with butter and dust the inside lightly with flour.
Beat the butter with the mixer in a mixing bowl until soft and creamy.
Add the cake mix and eggs in one go.
Stir everything with the mixer on the lowest setting for ½ minute until smooth.
Then beat the cake batter with the mixer on the highest setting for 2 minutes to a light batter.
Cut 2 stroopwafels into small pieces of about 1 cm and mix them through the batter with a spatula.
Put the batter in the cake tin and smooth the batter.
Cut the remaining 2 stroopwafels into small pieces of 1 cm and divide them over the cake.
Bake the cake in about 60 – 70 minutes until done and golden brown.
Place the cake in the tin on a grid, put a tea towel over the cake and let the cake cool in the tin for 30 minutes.
Remove the cake from the tin and let it cool down on a wire rack.
Only when the cake has cooled completely, you can carefully cut it with a large knife with fine serrations (bread knife)
